Questions We Hear Often

Pyramid heaters project radiant heat upward and outward in a 360-degree pattern, making them ideal for standing or lounge areas where you want warmth distributed across a wider space. Fire tables sit at seating height and create an intimate focal point at the center of your gathering. If your priority is ambiance and a place to pull chairs around, a fire table tends to feel more social; if you need to heat a larger open area or balcony, a standing heater typically covers more ground.

As a general guide, open and partially covered patios benefit from higher BTU outputs in the 42,000–50,000 BTU range, while smaller balconies or more enclosed spaces may be very comfortable with outputs in the 38,000–48,000 BTU range. Electric infrared heaters work differently — they warm people and surfaces directly rather than the surrounding air, so they can feel highly effective even at lower wattages in covered outdoor spaces. Consider the size of your area, how exposed it is to wind, and whether you want a primary heat source or supplemental warmth.

Most propane heaters and fire tables are designed for outdoor use and require adequate overhead clearance and ventilation — typically a minimum clearance of eight to ten feet from the heat source to any overhead structure, though you should always follow the specific guidelines included with your product. Covered pergolas with open sides generally provide sufficient airflow, but fully enclosed spaces are not suitable for propane use. When in doubt, an electric infrared heater is often the safer and more practical choice for tightly covered outdoor rooms.

About Our Heaters

Outdoor heaters and fire tables have become one of the most meaningful upgrades a homeowner can make to a patio or backyard. At their core, they solve a simple problem: the temperature drops, and the evening ends earlier than it should. The right heating solution changes that entirely, extending comfortable outdoor time across spring, fall, and even mild winter evenings. Propane pyramid heaters offer wide-area radiant warmth with a striking visual presence that suits both modern and transitional outdoor spaces. Fire tables combine functional heat with the social draw of an open flame, anchoring a seating area and becoming the natural center of any gathering. Electric infrared heaters deliver targeted, efficient warmth that works especially well under pergolas and covered outdoor rooms. When choosing, consider your space size, your preferred fuel source, how portable you need the unit to be, and whether the design complements the overall aesthetic of your outdoor living area. Quality construction, weather-appropriate materials, and thoughtful design details make the difference between a heater that simply functions and one that genuinely elevates your outdoor space.
